1. Take a break together

Dog’s love interaction with their owners and you should never underestimate the bond between yourselves.

With the demands of a working world it can often be extremely difficult to spend quality time with your pooch, while a vacation offers both owner and your favourite friend the opportunity to bond, create memories and find yourselves again.

Town dogs will especially relish the opportunity of long beach walks, or rambling around our beautiful woodland, not to mention a fun way to trim that thickened waistline

2. Homemade Peanut butter biscuit

Ingredients

2 eggs, 2 cups pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup of peanut butter(check ingredients does not contain chocolate), 3 cups of whole wheat flour (please check your dogs not intolerant to any of these ingredients before using)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper .

Using a mixer beat the pumpkin mixture and add the peanut butter and eggs until completely mixed. Gradually add the flour until the dough is no longer sticky.

Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough until it comes together. Roll the dough to approximately 1/4 inch thickness. Using your cookie cutters, cut out your desired shape and place onto your prepared baking tray.

Place into a hot oven and bake until a golden brown for approximately 2- 30 minutes. Check the dough is fully cooked by using a skewer. Ensure that when placed into the middle of the dough it withdraws without any mixture sticking to it.

Warning

As with all dog food, you must ensure that your dog does not suffer any allergies from the ingredients.

3. Watch a film together

What dog doesn’t enjoy a good snuggle with their owner and just cuddling and you cannot beat a bit of bonding time.

They may not be able to share your bag of popcorn, or munch on chocolate bar, but they will enjoy a few of their own doggie treats and displays none of your human friends interruptions, like holding the film every time a toilet break is required (dogs bladders are far stronger than ours and there will be no fighting over the TV control or talking to spoil the plot. Oh and they will be happy whatever movie you chose!

We all love receiving a bouquet of red roses, a nice bottle of Prosecco and it’s likely that us ladies will purge on the old chocolates for one night only, but let us not forget our furry friends and remember to include them on your special day.

How are you going to share Valentines Day with your special pets, let me know in the comments.
